The Horror Writer’s Workshop, Transylvania

The  Horror Writer’s Workshop, Transylvania  2016 dates are here!

Promo-ina-comprimido

Sponsored by WPI, the Horror Writer’s Workshop is a week of intensive workshops and lectures combined with visits to some of Transylvania’s most haunted locations. Some writing sessions are devoted to elements of craft, some to critiquing assigned work, and some sessions provide prompts and guided exercises to open up possibilities of new work. Significant time is also set aside for writing. Most afternoons are reserved for individual tutorials and free time to write. While the workshop instructor may include published material as examples of well-crafted writing, focus will be given to your own work. The Horror Writer’s Workshop, Transylvania provides a space where your writing will be given careful attention and constructive feedback in a mutually respectful environment. Whether you’re a new writer or a published author, you’ll leave the workshop with a polished horror story or that breakthrough you need for a longer piece of work. You’ll also take with you enough inspiration to keep you writing long after the workshop has ended.

Aspiring or published writers of any level are invited to attend so long as you are 18 or older. All sub-genres of horror as well as all writers interested in learning about the horror genre are welcome. Come join us in Transylvania! Pe curînd!

Take advantage of our HUGE Valentine’s OFFER: 2 for the price of 1!

Register in February with a friend, partner or family member and you split the cost. See Transylvania and study with award-winning author Brian Evenson! It’s an opportunity of a lifetime, so don’t miss out!
